MIAMI VALLEY HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATION
2008 HUMAN RESOURCE CONTRIBUTOR AWARD
Miami Valley Human Resource Association (MVHRA) is pleased to provide an award that recognizes outstanding and notable professional contributions MVHRA members have provided to their company. The award recognizes individuals who have initiated and completed a creative and successful HR project, practice or program for their organization. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Small company – less than 500 employees
- Large company – 500 or more employees
- Consultant/vendor – companies that perform HR functions for other companies for a fee
Criteria for entry:
- Application must be submitted for a current MVHRA member; applications are available on line at www.MVHRA.org
- The contribution may reflect the work of a team, but a MVHRA member should be the initiator or driving force behind the completion of the project
- The majority of the project, practice or program should be completed in 2008; application forms must be postmarked or emailed no later than December 31, 2008
- MVHRA members who are consultants may enter work completed on behalf of a client; the entry must include a statement from the client which validates the output and agrees to publicity of the project
Applications may be submitted by anyone who can knowledgeably speak about the project. The application will include the following type of information:
- A description of the project, practice or program; this description should include as much information as possible, including costs
- The goal or intent of the project, practice or program
- Evidence of success, to include specific metrics used to evaluate effectiveness
Entries will be evaluated by the MVHRA Past Presidents Committee. Contribution to the HR profession, creativity, ROI and other such factors will be taken into consideration. MVHRA reserves the right to not name an award winner. Winners will receive:
- Recognition plaque and letter from the MVHRA Board, letter to President of their company, promotion in the MVHRA newsletter and on the web site
- Registration fee for the 2009 Ohio HR Conference
- Three seats to the MVHRA chapter meeting to attend the awards ceremony
- $100 SHRM gift certificate
