Families Relocating to Dayton, Ohio

The Miami Valley Human Resource Association (MVHRA) is a professional trade association in Dayton, Ohio, consisting of more than 300 Human Resources (HR) experts and professionals. This active membership provides MVHRA with representation from many of Dayton's key businesses and organizations. With its significant depth of talent and incredible resources, MVHRA invites incoming spouses and family members of military, Federal civilian employees, and supporting contractors, to utilize a support system designed specifically to provide assistance in securing a desirable job in the local Dayton market.

This outreach is being undertaken in cooperation with the Dayton Development Coalition, which encompasses leaders from every sector of the Dayton Region - business, academia, government and military. Through the coalition, these leaders are working together to embrace a vision for the Dayton region that honors our business and cultural heritage of perseverance and innovation while focusing on the future of our workforce and economy, of our quality life, and of our continued participation in and importance to the world of ideas and innovation.

Dayton happens to be a very well-connected community and this outreach effort begins the experience by providing immediate connectivity to HR expertise. In addition, this unique support system is part of the mission of the MVHRA to provide opportunities for education and exchange of knowledge, and to promote the value of the HR profession. All of the support services offered through MVHRA are free to families of individuals being relocated into the area as consequence of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission.

 

This needs assessment is being conducted in order to better serve the families, and particularly the spouses, of individuals whose jobs are being relocated to the Dayton, Ohio, region as a result of BRAC initiatives. Please take a moment to provide the following information:
