Sherry has been with Crane for five years and has experience in recruiting, compensation, training, employee relations and benefits. As a Human Resource Consultant, Jenny has worked most
recently for MeadWestvaco providing recruitment and selection support for
their
Consumer & Office Products group.
Jenny’s background includes 1 year of directing the Miami Valley Competency Profiling System, a non-profit web-based skill assessment system developed for the Miami Valley. Her background includes 4 years of career consulting and Internet recruitment training experience. She also has over 10 years of experience in Human Resource Management, particularly in the areas of recruitment and training, in several different industries including banking, business services, retail, and information technology.
She has been very active in the Human Resource community in Dayton. With the Miami Valley Human Resource Association (MVHRA), Jenny has served as Acting President, Vice President and Programming Chair, Publicity Chair, Job Opportunities Chair, Membership Director, Webmaster, and Newsletter Editor. Jenny has been certified for over 6 years as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is a national member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Jenny has a BA in Psychology from Miami University.
Clara Wharton is the Director of Human Resources for Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co. She attended Otterbein College, and completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Wright State University. She is certified through the Society of Human Resource Management as a Professional in Human Resources.
Before joining Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., Clara had 13 years of human resource generalist experience including both retail and health care management arenas.

Ann E. Shiverdecker – Assistant Newsletter Chairperson
Ann is currently an H.R. Specialist at the Dayton Power & Light Company. During her 22-year career in H.R. she has worked in union and non-union environments, mainly at manufacturing companies. She has an Associates degree in Human Resources Management/Communications. She has a strong background in benefits, recruiting and workers’ compensation, as well as writing/editing company newsletter in one of her positions.
Teresa Homer is currently a Human Resources Generalist with focus on benefits, employee relations, and data management. Teresa holds an associates degree in Executive Secretarial from Sinclair Community College and a bachelors degree in Management/Human Resources from Park University. Teresa is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Professional affiliations include SHRM, MVHRA, and The American Red Cross. Teresa serves the MVHRA through the Newsletter Committee and as a member of the Professional Development Committee.
Gail M. Williams
holds both a Masters degree in Public Administration with an HR concentration
and a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Industrial
Communications from Wright State University. She is currently a HR Generalist
with the Lear Corporation in Sidney, Ohio.
Gail’s experience ranges from workers compensation, health and safety, to
recruitment. She has also been the Wright State University PHR/SPHR Certification
Program
Coordinator.
Gail has been an active MVHRA member since March of 1999 and the Certification
and College Relations Chair since December of 2000. Professional affiliations
include the Society for Human Resource Management and the Miami Valley Human
Resource Association.
Gail resides in Troy with her husband Jason.
Lauri is currently a HR Consultant for The Reynolds and Reynolds Company with over 7 years of Human Resources experience. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Organizational Behavior form Miami University and a Master’s in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University. Lauri has been acting as the current MVHRA Treasurer since July 2002.
Kelly is a project coordinator/writer at Write On Target, Inc. She works with her co-workers to help simplify benefits and HR communications for a variety of Fortune 500 companies.
Kelly studied Human Resource management at Central Michigan University and held several internships prior to joining Write On Target, Inc. In the role of Networking/Publicity co-chair for MVHRA, Kelly utilizes her coordination and interpersonal skills to assist in the coordination of organization events and to increase awareness of MVHRA in the local community.
Kelly is a member of SHRM and a new resident of the Dayton-area community.Mary earned her undergrad business (HR) degree from Wright State University and her master degree in management from the McGregor School of Antioch University. She has heading up the HR department for PKWARE (formerly ASCENT SOLUTIONS, Inc.) for almost 9 years. Her work in HR is a second career for her having spent more than twenty years in a technical capacity in the technology field.
Hubert L. Chatman, Director, Continuing Education, joined Sinclair in 2007 with an extensive military, higher education and human resources background. As an Air Force Officer, Hugh received numerous awards including Senior Human Resources Officer of the Year for the United States Air Force. He has served as Director of Human Resources for Central State University, Executive Director of Human Resources, Labor Relations and Personnel Regulatory Compliance at Youngstown State University, and Director of Human Resources for the City of Dayton. His is a member of a number of processional organizations, including Miami Valley Human Resources Association, International Personnel Management Association, Dayton Area Recruiting Alliance and the Ohio Public Employer Labor Relations Association.
