This position will initially report to our Middletown location, but will relocate to the corporate office in Downtown Dayton, approximately March/April 2006
Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate analytical approach to database and client problem resolutions.
Use decision making and problem solving skills to conduct day to day operations of the Benefits Office and resolve daily employee benefit issues by working with vendors and employees Assist the Benefits Manager in organizing and conducting bi-weekly new hire benefits orientation. Aggregating data for reporting purposes.
Manage the completion of tasks and projects on or before the projected due date.
Manage the company wide annual competency review process to include system management and maintenance, communication, reporting, and issue resolution.
Manage and facilitating MRHS quarterly internal survey process.
Support employee self-service by managing web-based benefits systems – to include the benefits web site and employee benefits election system.
Maintain the job descriptions within MRHS to insure they are accurate and up to date. Developing and managing working relationships with external vendors.
Expand knowledge of Disability and Worker's Compensation by partnering with Health Care Administrator and the MRHS Employee Health Nurse to administer payments and coverage for Long-Term Disability participants and provide general support.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in business/computer science/human resources or related field. Or five or more years experience in information management in a human resources/business setting.

Human Resources Director
Montgomery County is seeking an experienced human resources professional to serve as its Human Resources Director. The HR Director is responsible for leading the County's Human Resources Department, serving over 1,100 Montgomery County Commission employees. Departmental functions include Labor & Employee Relations, Employee Benefits, Recruitment & Selection and HR Training. The HR Director also provides advice and guidance to other elected officials and agencies within Montgomery County, affecting over 3,000 public employees.
The successful candidate will possess extensive governmental experience and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support and advice to the Administrative Services Director, County Administrator and Board of County Commissioners. The HR Director will also be expected to assist in the management of the employee and labor relations functions, including participating in the bargaining process with multiple employee organizations.
Requirements include a BS degree (or equivalency) in Personnel Management or Human Resources and at least 8 years experience in personnel administration, personnel management or human resources. Several years experience managing a human resources department and experience in collective bargaining contracts is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
The HR Representative will be responsible for supporting the Dayton Foundry which is a small manufacturing union facility. Major areas of responsibility will include the following:
Work with management to coordinate recruiting efforts from requisition to job offer for open positions.
Facilitate performance management process.
Handle all labor relations issues.
Support HR Manager with roll out of HR programs and initiatives.
Work on process improvement projects to streamline and improve HR processes
Process and update employee changes in the HRIS system.
Run reports and gather HR related data to report and track key HR metrics
Act as a business partner with the local leadership team.
Qualifications:
Five to Eight years work experience in a human resource generalist capacity
Bachelors degree in HR or related field
Union environment experience preferred (e.g. handling grievances, maintaining contract).
Experience and knowledge in the areas of recruiting, training, employee relation, compensation and benefits, and labor law
Previous experience working with HRIS software (Oracle experience preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high confidentiality and trust level
Action oriented, customer focused, with the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a cooperative team approach
Stong analytical skills, with proven MS Excel, Word, and Power Point skills
