Technology Director

Position Summary:
Maintain, upgrade and create content for Chapter web page. Provide on-going analysis and monitoring of Internet sites to ensure timely delivery of information to members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administration and oversight to web site on an on-going basis.
  • Create visually innovative and compelling interface designs with the goal of enhancing experience online and strengthening Chapter.
  • Perform regular monitoring of site to ensure accuracy of links, consistent page design / flow, and identification of new projects to improve site design / efficiency / technology.
  • Perform the implementation of new functionality for weekly / monthly site updates and coordinate testing to ensure functionality performs as required.
  • Responsible for looking for ways to use the Internet more effectively in order to increase the Chapter’s efficiency of servicing members and the human resources community at large.
  • Ensure that all Internet Standards are met and that the Association does not intentionally violate any standards that would place the web site in jeopardy.
  • Post the monthly newsletter, meetings and events to the Chapter Website along with email notifications to the Membership.
  • Attend and participate in all monthly general luncheon and Board Meetings.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategy planning for the Chapter.
  • Other assignments as requested by the President and / or the Board.
  • Represent the Chapter in the Human Resource community.

Position Requirements:

  • Member of MVHRA and SHRM.
  • Working knowledge of the Internet and Website applications
  • Proficiency in Website design and all software needed
