Position Summary:
The Vice President conducts the business of the Association in the absence of the President and the Vice President Elect.
Primary Responsibilities:
Vice President is responsible for assisting the President, President Elect and Professional Workshop Chair, in scheduling and organizing programs for the regular monthly membership meetings.
Manage the development and provision of programs, workshops, seminars and other services provided by the chapter.
Direct the activities of the Program Committee, the Professional Development Committee, and the Mentoring Committee.
Selects Topics (monthly meetings)
With the association's mission statement as guide, uses topics suggested on Meeting Evaluation Forms completed by members, and feedback from annual survey issued in November to select meeting topics.
Responsible for coordinating the Chapter Achievement Plan, by monitoring the activities of the Board toward annual Merit Award
Work with Professional Development Chair to ensure speakers for monthly luncheon meetings, as well as professional Development Workshop.
Take leadership role in submission of Pinnacle Award to SHRM
Keep abreast of developments in the HR field in order to provide timely programs and services.
Monthly Meeting Agenda
Assist with the development of meeting agenda.
Create and review meeting evaluation forms for feedback to be used in planning future events. Send evaluations along with copy of newsletter to speaker after review.
Attend all monthly meetings (if not possible must find replacement for above duties).
