Professional Membership Qualifications - Professional membership
in MVHRA is restricted to the following professionals within the human resource
field:
Those actively engaged in bona fide human resource administration (at the
exempt level) and who devote at least 50% of their time to personnel, human resources,
or industrial relations functions (unemployed professionals are subject to this
criteria excluding "actively engaged").
Faculty members holding an assistant, associate, or full professor rank in
personnel, human resources, or industrial relations at an accredited college/university
and who possess at least three years of responsible experience at this level of
teaching and whose involvement in the field of human resource management as judged
by the board, is strongly compatible with MVHRA.
Consultants or agents of any type who perform human resource functions for
other companies for a fee and are a member in good standing with SHRM.
Associate Membership Qualifications - Associate membership
in MVHRA is limited to the following individuals within the human resource field:
Those actively engaged in bona fide Human Resources administration (at the
nonexempt level) who devote at least 50% of their time to personnel, human resources
or industrial relations functions (unemployed associates will be considered for
membership utilizing this criteria excluding the "actively engaged"
requirement).
Associate members do not have voting rights nor may they hold office in the
Association.
Student Membership Qualifications - To qualify for membership
in the student chapter, the student must be actively pursuing
an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university and
must demonstrate a bona fide interest in Human Resource Management.

$50.00 for a calendar year professional and associate membership
$10.00 for a calendar year student membership
