MVHRA MEMBERSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Professional membership in MVHRA is restricted to the following professionals within the human resource field:

  • Professional Membership Qualifications
    • Those actively engaged in bona fide human resource administration (at the exempt level) and who devote at least 50% of their time to personnel, human resources, or industrial relations functions (unemployed professionals are subject to this criteria excluding "actively engaged").
    • Faculty members holding an assistant, associate, or full professor rank in personnel, human resources, or industrial relations at an accredited college/university and who possess at least three years of responsible experience at this level of teaching and whose involvement in the field of human resource management as judged by the board, is strongly compatible with MVHRA
    • Associate membership in MVHRA is limited to the following individuals within the human resource field: Those actively engaged in bona fide Human Resources administration (at the nonexempt level) who devote at least 50% of their time to personnel, human resources or industrial relations functions (unemployed associates will be considered for membership utilizing this criteria excluding the "actively engaged" requirement). Associate members do not have voting rights nor may they hold office in the Association.
  • Vendor/Consultant Membership Qualifications
    • Consultants or agents of any type who perform human resource functions for other companies for a fee and are a member in good standing with SHRM. OR
    • Consultants or agents of any type who market products or services to the HR professional and are a member in good standing with SHRM.
  • Student Membership Qualifications
    • To qualify for membership in the student chapter, the student must be actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university and must demonstrate a bona fide interest in Human Resource Management.

 

MVHRA Membership Dues for 2008
  • Membership is for the calendar year i.e., January through December.
  • Membership dues are as follows:
