The mission of MVHRA is to promote sound principles and standards of Human Resource management; to foster professional growth by providing opportunities for education and exchange of knowledge; and to promote the value of the Human Resources profession. MVHRA 2005 Objectives 1. Serve the Human Resource Professional • Provide members with a monthly newsletter and website with information and resources to help the HR professional make informed decisions. • Host or Co-Host annual professional development workshops to provide our members with Human Resource development opportunities and to assist those that are PHR/SPHR certified. • Form partnerships with local organizations to promote educational and professional growth of MVHRA members
2.Advance the Human Resource Profession • Networking/Publicity will develop relationships with the local media to promote events that are sponsored by the MVHRA and/or SHRM and report back monthly at MVHRA Board meetings on their success. • Form partnerships with local organizations to promote the benefits of MVHRA & SHRM membership. • Promote MVHRA influence in local, state and national legislation via our Governmental Affairs Chair. • Award PHR/SPHR WSU Certification workshop scholarships to MVHRA members in 2005. • Coordinate student Scholarship in 2005 to eligible undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the field of Human Resource Management. • Encourage responsible leadership through community outreach activities, partner with organizations and educational institutions to prepare youth for entering the workforce and sponsor emerging HR leaders and student chapters.
3 Grow and enhance MVHRA & SHRM • Membership committee will develop programs to enhance the growth and membership of both MVHRA and SHRM. • Develop and implement MVHRA Orientation committee and membership package. • Design and implement an awards program that recognizes individual members and/or their companies for their contributions to MVHRA, SHRM or the human resources profession. . |
