Human Resource Roundtable

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors an HR Roundtable discussion on the fourth Tuesday of the month, 7:30-9:00 A.M. The group meets at the Dayton Convention Center (corner of Fifth & Main Streets) in Room # 208. This meeting is intended to be a forum for senior-level Human Resource professionals to discuss HR issues in an informal, confidential setting. Participants must be a member of the Dayton Chamber. Benefits Survey

The Dayton Regional Benefits Survey is now available on searchable CD-ROM. This is a detailed report that includes: medical (including the employee contribution), housing, financial/legal, family leave, and transportation benefits.   The report contains a general summary followed by 19 industry-specific categories of data.  More than 300 organizations responded to the survey, conducted by the Chamber in conjunction with Battelle & Battelle, LLP, Human Resources Consulting Group.

The price for the CD-Rom is $30 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members. A print version, containing just the general summary and the data on one industry sector is available for $15. To order, call 226-1444 or send an e-mail to info@dacc.org

Dayton Chamber Provides Free On-line Job Posting on the NationJob Network

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with DP&L is pleased to provide the NationJob on-line job posting service to Dayton area employers. The NationJob Network is available to anyone with access to the Internet, enabling companies to recruit from a large regional or national pool of candidates.  

As a member of the Dayton Chamber, companies can list an unlimited number of Dayton area job opportunities on NationJob Network at no charge.  Non-members may also post jobs to this site at a cost of $150 per job, per month. More than 750 employers are using this powerful resource to find the skilled employees they need.

Recruiting Tools

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Dayton Area Recruiting Alliance to produce a community orientation video entitled Dayton - The Right Place.  The video was designed to assist in the recruitment of employees to the Dayton region and highlights the educational, recreational and public amenities of many communities throughout Dayton and the Miami Valley.

Relocation kits are also available through the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. The "kits" contain a detailed Dayton area map, the Regional Community Guide, current homes "for sale" & apartment rental guides and product & service information from select Chamber members.
