2005 MVHRA Presidents Message

On behalf of the Miami Valley Human Resource Association and the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome all members and visitors to our MVHRA website.

As President for 2005, I look forward to working with the Board and our membership during my term to develop and implement meaningful Human Resource programs to enhance our profession and help all to develop their professional and personal growth.

As technology and the economics of our society continue to become more complex, so do our roles as HR professionals. The Miami Valley Human Resource Association stands ready to meet these challenges by assisting us with our professional development and working with us to provide more resources to assist us in our every day job.

The Miami Valley Human Resource Association is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and our current local chapter membership has grown to over 330 professionals. The MVHRA chapter has monthly luncheon meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at the Mandalay Banquet Center at 12 noon. These luncheon meetings include speakers on timely and thought provoking subject matters that deal with our Human Resource environment. These monthly meetings also function as a medium for exchanging ideas and experiences by providing a good foundation for developing relationships and networking opportunities with other members and visitors to the MVHRA.

The vision of the MVHRA is to serve the needs of the human resource management profession by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources available. Our chapter has won the Superior Award of Merit Chapter of SHRM for the past several years, and we are proud of its past tradition of delivering quality services that offer the highest value to its members and is committed to a future of excellence.
